It is possible to become immune to the situation, even if you cannot remove the stress that is in your life.

Prolonged stress can make your day to day mental faculties fuzzy, at best sometimes. In extreme cases, it can become difficult to even function from day to day because of all this mental stress. That makes it even more important to maintain the highest possible awareness about your state of mind. This may be extremely difficult at times, but it’s nevertheless the most effective way to start turning things around.

Examine Your Thoughts

Take a close look at your thoughts and take note if they are positive, negative, optimistic, pessimistic and so forth. If you’re under a lot of stress, you may find that your thoughts are often negative rather than positive. Observing such negative thoughts can allow you to look at them objectively and replace them with other thoughts if you wish.

You never want to let stress become completely dominant in your life. Like most problems, stress is easier to cope with when it’s still relatively minor in severity. For example, if you find that everyday stress is turning into depression, you have to do something about it. There are a variety of techniques to make your thinking more positive, though it’s not always simple.
